Emma has co-designed the set with Irina Borisova
Emma is a set and costume designer as well as a sculptor and prop-maker. With a background in fine art she has worked on a range of different projects including installation art, puppetry, doll-making, mask-making, costume and set design for theatre. Her collaborative set design for A Dolls House at the Space in 2010 was nominated for ‘Best Set Design’ by Off-Westend.com
Previous work has included set and costume design for the surrealist play What Lovely Weather by Andre Breton performed at The Barbican in 2010 as part of their Surreal House exhibition; an installation of life-sized figures and dolls for The New Players Theatre throughout their run of Infinite Variety (2009); costume and set design for Smoke and Pearls (2009) at Canal Café Theatre and costume and masks for the contemporary dance piece Crossing Chaos at Camden People’s Theatre. Her art work has also been featured in several London galleries and in the press notably – Love Bird sculptures for Elevator Gallery in 2008 and Fashion Puppets – a commission for the fashion magazine Pop in 2007.
