Irina has co-designed the set with Emma Thatcher
Irina is a set and costume designer who fell in love with the magic of theatre and has been working towards a relationship with more love and less drama ever since. She was born and raised in Bulgaria where she started her training with textile and shortly after switched to something a lot more exciting- Scenography. She graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia and gained a Master degree in Scenography from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Her previous work includes costume and set design for Kvetch (Questors theatre) and a number of productions with Space Productions; A doll’s house (shortlisted from the Offies for ‘best design 2010’) Treasure Island, Saving of Santa, The B.F.G. In addition, she has been a Design assistant for the productions of Cobbo (Theatre Alibi) and The Psychic Detective (and those who disappeared) (BenchTours Theatre Company).
